What is the Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging?

The Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging provides leadership and expertise to the Alliant Community to advance its commitment to inclusive excellence, community service, and academic excellence.

Through programmatic and educational initiatives, the Office of DEI enables our faculty, staff, and students to reach their potential while promoting the appreciation of cultural diversity and foster intercultural and cross-cultural understanding.

The vision of the Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging

We envision a university where:

  1. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are embedded in the core institutional values that promote inclusive decision-making, enhance university policies, and best practices, and create a culture of belonging by actively inviting the contributions and participation of all people.
  2. Collaborative strategic partnerships externally and internally that support the emerging needs of our Alliant members.
